So we are having cupcakes and ice cream tonight, the family is coming over for a barbeque and some fun. And I decided to make a crocodile cupcake cake. Pretty ambitious of me, right. Well, the directions said it would only take 50 minutes to decorate, and it would have, if my frosting would have worked out, and if the piping bags (ziplocs) would have worked out. So, after about 50 minutes of getting the right color, then making more frosting because the store bought was too soft, then mixing the two kinds together, because the homemade frosting was too hard, I finally figured it out. So here are the results of my work this morning. Let's just hope the cats (or Benjamin) don't mess it up before tonight.
I'll give further updates later.

OK, that has to be one of the most adorable cakes ever! You are so creative! Too, too cute!
Happy Birthday to Matthew! Holy cow, he is already 1!! How exciting. I hope the birthday party was fun and relaxing. :)
And the cupcakes are really really cute. I am glad you too pictures! Did you end up filling them?
Like I said, the frosting was a problem, but once worked out, was wonderful. I did fill the cupcakes, but I didn't get the creamy, fluffy texture that you think of in twinkies. It was more like a yogurt consistency, but I still filled them, and they were pretty good. I'll have to try it again to get that fluffy texture.
The party was great. There was DeAnn's family and Cary. Just a lot of fun, and I'm glad we did it on his birthday. He was so cute. When I get back from Bear Lake I post more pictures (when I have time!!!)
That is such a cute cake!! I can't believe he is one! Tome goes so fast!
