Well, guess what? Idaho did not disappoint. We got us another round of snow today. It wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday. But it was the fun, fluffy stuff that makes playing in it such a blast. So that is what we did. After shoveling out the driveway, of course. (Then we promptly got in the car and went to the store and bought a sled. Then went to a park and slid down the hill, a lot.)
Yesterday, we also started a new tradition in the Pope Household. We have decided to follow my sister, Kate's, lead and make a gingerbread house. Well, not make it, exactly. Let's just say that we bought a kit, and had to follow the video instructions that were on the web. But, it was a lot of fun, and I think we will try to do one every year. You'll just have to tune in next year to see if we follow through.

I'm so so so so jealous. I haven't been sledding in I don't know how long! I bet your boys remember this Christmas with all the fun snow for years to come! (At least Ben, maybe Matt is a little too young?)

even if we DID get that much snow here, we wouldn't be able to go sledding down any hills. (a)there are NO hills (b)our ONE hill, mt. trashmore, they don't allow sledding down. it's a bummer! it would be so much fun, too! :)
i love the gingerbread house. it IS so much fun, isn't it? i bought the kit, too, just because i was running out of time to do it. next year, i'll bake it, i hope! i don't know, having the kit was so easy! :)

Well, of course they are cute, all kids are cute. And the gingerbread house, well, Chad was wondering when we could eat it. I'm not too sure that I want to eat it. It was from a kit, and then we have it sitting out...I don't know, what do you think?
umm....i GUESS he could eat it. maybe you should make some yummy treats so he's not tempting to eat a stale gingerbread house! :)
