After a snowy start,
and by snowy, I mean SNOWY,
Easter weekend was not so bad
Benjamin, Matthew and their cousin Emily
went to an Easter Egg hunt
Thankfully it was indoors
The snow would not have been too bad
but the wind we had that morning was not fun
Let's just say 30-40 mph winds are not fun for little tykes
Then with the help of more experienced cousins
we dyed Easter Eggs
It was kind of fun
But now I'm wishing we had boiled even more
Maybe next year
Then, the rest of the weekend the older girls and I spent all of our time in the kitchen
We made brownies, homemade Oreos, butter mints and rolls
And then we also made Easter dinner.
I can't believe there was room in my belly for all the sweets and treats
but there was...and I'll be spending the next six weeks working off those three days of indulgence
Such is life
Overall, the weekend was awesome.
The boys had so much fun with their cousins
And I think the cousins had fun with the boys
And I have a feeling that we are in desperate need of a bigger house
just so we can have a Wii retreat without anyone getting hurt.
Thanks Ryan, Lindsay, Maura and Emily for helping to make Easter so memorable for the Pope's. We welcome you all back anytime.
