I have been reminded by just a few people (ahem...Kate and Kim) that I have been very incompetent with keeping my blog up-to-date. And I guess they have a point. I think it has been like four months or something like that since I last posted. The thing is, I haven't felt like blogging for quite awhile. I haven't felt like sharing any witty remarks about the cute pictures that I post. And I know those pictures are just average and ordinary. It's just I have been in a funk and for some reason, I can't seem to shake it. It's not like I have been sitting around all day in my bathrobe, watching soap operas and eating bonbons. (Are there any soaps on anymore?)In fact, a lot has happened since June. In fact, I have gone on quite a few trips and I telling Kate that this year we have spent more on vacations and home improvements than probably all of my marriage years combined. That is pretty sad, if you know what I mean. There's been a graduation penning for my sister-in-law Brittany. Weddings for my nephew and my mom...but not to each other, that would be just plain wrong. Party planning for both of them. A party at Bear Lake, swimming in my sister's A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. pool after a 15 hour road trip to San Diego, a day trip to Shoshone Falls, first day of school for Benjamin and first day of preschool for Matthew. We also painted the whole inside of our house and carpeted and tiled it. Well, we didn't carpet and tile, but we paid someone handsomely to do so. And oh yeah, throw in about 8 weeks of physical therapy for my knee and now the year is almost over.
Last week Matthew was pretty sick with a virus AND a bacterial infection. So I was stuck inside the house on one of the most gorgeous weeks of fall. I begged Chad to take all of us to the local corn maze on Saturday. (Side note: The activity for this week in Young Women's was to go to the corn maze, and I just knew that the boys would have a blast.) I knew they would want to get lost in the corn...so even though the weather was not ideal, (for some reason, the clouds came in and the winds picked up) we still went and had a ball. Later that night, both Chad and I commented on how we were just plain exhausted. I felt like I did after a day at the drag races...sunburned, wind burned, and deplete of all energy but this was minus the sunburn. The following are some pictures of our trip. I should have taken more, but the wind was out of control.
The boys, lost in the maze
Benjamin, doing the bouncy ball rodeo
Matthew, on the same said bouncy ball rodeo
Matthew and I trying to take a picture...see the wind is blowing my hair all over the place
Benjamin, waiting for a ride behind the tractor
As I downloaded all of the pictures, I realize I actually want to share some more with you...so stay tuned for more. I promise it won't take as long this time.

Just read this, and I'm glad to see pictures of the boys. They sure are growing up. Maybe I'll get to see the new carpet and tile on my way through Pokey next month (I'm planning to stop at your house or Mom's on the way to Penny's, I'll let you know the details when I know more :)
