I was able to get away for the weekend with my college roommates. Here we are then.

(Jeanny, Robin, Me, Renee)
And here we are now in all of our glory (J/K)!!!!

Boy was it nice to not have the two boys around. I missed them terribly, and I was worried the whole time, not because I did not trust Chad, I knew he would do a wonderful job, but I wanted him to enjoy his time with the boys. And guess what, he did. I was so happy. Anyway, my roommates and I went to Bear Lake, and loved it. We stayed in Jeanny's Uncle's cabin the first night and that was cool because we were right on the lake and got to grill outside and walk right on the beach. Of course, we also had to deal with dear flies, (I did get quite a few bites, by the way, but I did try to save the others skin!!!) and trying to weave our way through the field to get to the beach, but it was way cool. Then the next day, we loaded up the mustang and drove until we found a quiet part of the beach and just laid on the beach or sat in the chairs and read and talked and tanned. Pretty awesome. We also went into town for, what else, Raspberry Shakes!!! That was the best part of the trip. Then we checked into our condo, cleaned up, and went to Pickleville Playhouse for a western cookout and a show. Just awesome. We laughed so hard and the actors/actresses were so talented. I was impressed. As we were leaving, there was a full moon (or close enough to it) coming up over the lake, so we headed up to the overlook to take pictures of the moon on the water. Needless to say, my camera did not work out in the dark, but the view was awesome. The next day we hiked up to Bloomington Lake, which is a glacier fed lake and got to see some gorgeous countryside. Then back to the beach to sit on the chairs in the water. Can I say relaxing? A fun drive around the whole lake was next and more good times at the condo cooking dinner. We stayed up late talking, again, then packed up the next day, but did some shopping in the stores to pick stuff up for those left at home, then back home. It was a good time, and much needed for my sanity. I loved getting with the girls. I was just fun to remember good times and to talk about what is going on now. I thank Chad for letting me have this weekend. I will try to be a better mother and wife from now on.

Beth, you didn't actually say who all went on the girlfriend's weekend. Sounds like you had a great time. I'm jealous. You don't even have to worry at the Lake about huge waves crashing and your husband losing his sunglasses in the surf....:) I'm glad you went and were able to take a holiday. We all need one of those at least once a year, right?
Love, Pam
Pam, it was wonderful. If you don't remember my roommates they are, Jeanny, Robin and Renee. At dinner, I was sitting with Robin, and Jeanny and Renee are sitting together. Good times!!!
Beth, you should make it possible for anonymous comments...that way mom can leave comments on your blog. I think you can go to the settings/comments section.
Love,
Pam
PS. It was nice talking to you yesterday :)
Pam, Mom has commented before on my blog and as Sister Helm. Maybe she just forgot her user name and password. But I think I can go and change that.
Beth
PS, by the way, it was fun talking to you too!
