190 PuSh uPs

That's right, I did 190 push ups this morning!!! Wahoo!!! In addition, I ran the stairs in the mini dome 19 times, in just 30 minutes! Let's just say that I am feeling it right now. Oh yeah, like in my biceps. And tomorrow, I'm sure I'll feel it in my calves. Why do I torture myself you ask? Only for my "Health Club". We used to be "The Biggest Loser" club, but a lot of the members felt that had a bad connotation, so we changed to "Health Club" at the beginning of this year. We set goals, weekly and overall (the total is 12 weeks). The goals can be for any aspect of our lives, and I really like to focus on becoming closer to my savior, so I have tried to set goals like reading my scriptures morning and night, or reading a conference talk a day, or saying my prayers morning and night. But I have also set goals to work on personal hygiene, like flossing my teeth morning and night, or washing my face morning and night. Now you all know my little secret, I'm kind of a morning kind of girl, so I have that routine down great. That's why I need extra incentive to do the night routine. And then we get points for every half hour of exercise, and for drinking our water every day, and for not eating after a certain time. And we get to subtract a point for every serving of junk food we eat in a day. And then we get to compete in challenges. Which is why I was running the stairs and doing push ups in the mini dome this morning. I don't think I would torture myself for any other reason. I just hope that I have enough strength in my arms tomorrow to play volleyball. I might just have to do an underhand serve. I think that will be the only way to get the ball over the net. If I get enough strength to do another posting, I'll let you know. Until then, I'll be keeping my Tylenol close, and the Epsom salt even closer.

Beth, that is awesome. Keep up the good work, and run some of those stairs for me, since we don't have a mini dome here to run ;)
