lOOOOOOOOng NiGhT

Here is how last night went:
9:30 pm: Read one story to Matthew, both he and Benjamin contributed
9:35 pm: Read one scripture verse with Benjamin (it was like pulling teeth to get him to read one)
9:45 pm: Read a science book to Benjamin with really cool pictures and big words so he could sound them out (he is reading, by the way)
9:55 pm: Matthew wants in on the action...wants me to hold him...so, I get him out of bed and hold him while I finish reading the science book to Benjamin
9:56 pm: Matthew tries to wiggle between Benjamin and me, he also cries because he wants to get back in his bed...and me also.
10:00 pm: I crawl into Matthew's bed, with Matthew and Benjamin, lights are out, trying to sing them songs. Matthew says, "No songs, mom". Benjamin gives me a list of songs he wants me to sing.
11:10 pm: I wake up from being crushed in a twin bed with the two boys and go wash my face, brush my teeth, write in my journal and do a crossword puzzle. I fall asleep around 12:04 am.
1:30 am: Matthew coughs horribly and wakes up crying. He wants water, and me to sleep with him. I crawl into his bed.
2:00 am: I try to leave to go to my bed. Matthew wakes up, cries, wants more water and for me to stay in his bed. I stay.
2:15 am: I try to leave again to no avail. Matthew is burning up with a fever. I give him some baby Tylenol.
3:00 am: I finally talk Matthew into the benefits of sleeping in my bed...it's softer, it's bigger, I have more room....
4:30 am: I wake up to the sound of Benjamin dry heaving**.Chad is up for work and can help get water and towels.
4:35 am: Benjamin crawls into bed with Matthew and me. At least we are in a king size.
5:56 am: Benjamin wakes up again needing to dry heave. I grab some towels. Fall back asleep.
8:10 am: I wake up to call Becky and tell her that the boys are both sick and she probably doesn't want to come over. As I am having the 2 minute conversation with her, Benjamin wakes up to go dry heave, once again. At least this time it is in the bathroom.
8:15 am: Make Benjamin some dry toast that he can eat while sitting on the couch watching TV.
8:20 am: Make scrambled eggs for Matthew, with his help. While the eggs are becoming perfect, I check out the blogs and thus I "burn" the eggs. I hurry up and scramble them. Thank goodness Matthew does not know the difference.
8:30 am: Type out the blog while feeding Matthew. Now I just need to go get on the bike before it gets too late.

**The dry heaving was mainly just mucous. But that is the worst...wen you have to throw up, but can't.
