Road Trip

My sister Peggy and I took a quick trip to see our other sister Jill who lives near Tacoma, WA. Let me just say that it was quick and the boys slept almost all the way over. It only took us just over 11 hours, which was fast. But we got to see her house and it is so cute decorated. I wish that I had her touch. I love, love, love what she does with baskets. And she doesn't have a lot of clutter, which is what I have after living in the same house for nearly 10 years. I can't believe how fast time has flown. One day you are in a house enjoying the new paint smell, and the next you are looking around to catalog all you have to update. Not fun, maybe we'll just buy a new house!!!! Anyway, the trip was a good. Benjamin got to play with his cousin Jheriko, and they did ok. I need to work on teaching Benjamin how not to shove his cousin, (or his brother). We got to see Mt. Rainier, which was really pretty until we got to the visitor's center and the clouds rolled in, then as we left, they rolled out. So here are some pictures from the trip.

We took a walk to Jill's neighborhood park, and the boys rode their bikes. It was not a fast walk, but I know that Benjamin enjoyed riding the trike. Aunt Jill even gave us a bike with training wheels that needs some work which Chad can do, so Ben will be just like his cousin Jheriko before too long.

At the Mt. Rainier Visitor Center. Yes, there are other places besides Idaho that still have snow!!

At the little town of Ashford, WA where we stopped and got ice cream. I let Benjamin get chocolate, Peggy said I should only get him vanilla, and guess who Benjamin got his chocolate on...that's right, Peggy. See, mom's know what their kids are going to do!
Jheriko feeding Matthew. Too cute!!!
Jill also had an upstairs, and this is what we had to be careful for.

The ride home was not so quick. We had to stop a few more times because Benjamin spilled his milk in his car seat, and then later he threw up, and Matthew cried a bit more. You can say that we used up all of our good luck on the way over. But, it was fun. And I'm glad we did it.

Well, Jheriko was on the stairs with Matthew, and Benjamin was at the top. Matthew kept going to the stairs, and if we forgot to put up the gate, oh well. Now I just have to teach him to go down the stairs.
