Catching Up

Is that title original, or what??? Anyway, a lot has happened since I was last on. Well, maybe not a lot, but it has seemed like that to me. I went on Tuesday and picked up Nathan from Matt's and so the day just seems that much busier with another boy in the house. We've had a ton of fun riding bikes and going to the movies and just hanging out. And I think he now knows how all the other kids have felt about him when Benjamin asks him a million questions. But it has been very good so far. It's fun to see Benjamin with an older boy. He wakes up and wonders where Nathan is and if he is going to play with him that day. Just too cute. And Matthew loves to jump on Nathan, and Nathan is really good and kind to Matthew. Just way too much fun, right.

So, Saturday morning I got up early, like 6:30 and went and picked raspberries from a house close by. And after two hours of painstaking labor, I came home, ate, and then made some raspberry freezer jam. Not too bad for a Saturday morning before noon. Here's the fruits of my labor. You can even see on the clock that it says 11:35. I'm becoming a little homemaker, right!! And it tastes really good with my homemade bread, if I do say so myself.

Then after rearranging my downstairs, I cleaned up and got ready for the 15 year reunion for Rigby High School. So, because I got invited by two of my friends, Jeanne and Michael, I decided to crash the party. It wasn't a huge party, per say, but, I did get to catch up and chat with some old friends and it was good. Chad stayed home with the two boys and I was able to just relax and have a good time and not worry about whether Chad was bored or not. That is totally the problem with reunions. The spouse is always bored because he/she usually does not know anyone. In fact, I noticed a table with some ladies that I did not recognize at all, and I think we concluded that it was spouses that were trying to band together. Overall, it was good times and even though I did not graduate from Rigby, it was good to go and catch up.

My good friend Hugh. He was a total brain in school and guess what, he still is. But, as my friend Jeanne and I were talking afterwards, we both mentioned how much he talked with us and we both thought that was very cool. He went to school in Arizona and became really rich there, then moved to the Salt Lake area and has become really rich there, or so he lets us believe...

My friends Jeanne and Tyler. So, I was so glad that Jeanne told me about this reunion, I found her name on Facebook and I was only on there because Karalyn invited me to join. So anyway, she was like, come to the reunion, and I'm glad I did because it would have been a very boring night without her. It totally made the night worth it, and it felt like no time at all had happened since I saw her last. Tyler was always my very good friend, and I have actually run into him throughout the years in Pocatello, like at the Public Library or at my doctor's office, or even at the drag races. But it was good to see him and catch up on what's been going on in his life. (For those in my family who remember Michael Willits, he is in the background wearing a blue shirt.)

This is my friend Eric. For those in my family who remember any of my dance pictures, you might recognize him. He is truly a friend because he was the only one who would bring me to dances. And my total dates in high school I would be able to count on one hand, that's right, only one hand!!!

Not much else is going on. I bought all of the books in the Twilight series and am now re-reading the first three before I find out what happens in the 4th book. So, between taking care of Nathan, Benjamin and Matthew, reading Twilight, and preparing a lesson for Sunday, I won't stay too busy at all.

it sounds like fun having nathan. it really makes a difference having an "older" kid in the house. it made parker become a "big" kid, or so he thinks! :)
i was thinking about calling you, but, i guess i can't for a few days, as you will be busy reading twilight. errgg! i think the last time you were reading them, i called you, and you were so distracted because you wanted to read your book!

You know, as I'm re-reading I'm finding that I am liking Edward a lot, but then I liked him a lot the first time around. So, we'll see if I still have those same feelings after I read the second and third and fourth books!!!
