To get myself out of a blogging funk, I decided to let my sister Kate interview me, so here's the deal-e-o. She gets to ask me any five questions. I get to answer them. Then if you want me to "interview" you, just make a comment on my posting that you want to be interviewed and I'll email you with five different and unique questions that are unrelated to my five questions. Kind of fun, kind of complicated, but hey, right now I'm not sure what to blog about so here goes...
What is your most fond memory of growing up (at any age)?
I would have to say my fondest memory occurred one New Year's Eve when mom and dad let me stay up with them and watch the world celebrate ringing in the new year. I was probably around 15 or 16. It was so fond because we also made a boneless skinless chicken breast recipe that I think my mom and dad discovered while in Japan and then dipped it in a soy sauce and dry mustard sauce, and it was so cool because we made it around 11 pm. It felt so decadent. Just a little treat to ring in the new year and I got to be a grown-up.
When days are frustrating, for whatever reason, how do you 'cope'?
I dig into a big bowl of ice cream....wait, that is probably not the best way to deal with frustration. No, let's see, when I'm needing to cope with something, my favorite thing to do is to go for a walk. And the more hills the better. If I can get that blood pumping as I push the stroller with the two boys in it, up the hill, faster than I would normally walk it, it makes all the frustration melt away. And I've burned a few calories, so then if I decided to dig into that bowl of ice cream when I get back, well...
We all have things we dislike, even hate, about ourselves. What is the thing that you LOVE the best about yourself?
I love that I am usually early for appointments. That is hard to do now that I have two boys, but 99 times out of 100 I am to where I am needed before the actual time. I love that my dad (and as I grow older realize that my mom had the same ideology) instilled in me from a young age that "you are ten minutes late if you are five minutes early". So I love that for the most part, people can count on me to be there when I say I'm going to be there.
What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?
I wish she would have asked about breakfast, I have that one down pat, lunch is a little bit harder. If I didn't have to worry about calories at all, it would be Papa Murphy's Hawaiian Pizza.
What is one thing you would rather pay someone to do than to do it yourself?
This one is so easy. I would pay someone to clean my toilets. I hate cleaning the bathrooms, and the toilets are the worst thing in the world. I am a slacker and I let them get the ring going until I can't stand it any longer and finally break down and clean them. I know, gross, huh, but that is me and I've gotta start dealing with it.
So that's it, probably more than you ever wanted to know about me, but it got me thinking about me, and that's a good thing, right?

Oh Man!! Papa Murphy's take and bake... YUMMO! I miss them. =( Enjoy a piece for me, I betcha anything those calories wouldn't count.. right?
Of course the calories don't count when you're on vacation. And Kate, there is no way I would let you clean my toilet. I may hate doing it, but I can't let anyone else do it for me. Thanks so much for offering, though.
